Exactly, Marion. Whenever we’ve heard a song that’s especially caught on with us indefinitely for the very first time & it’s over the airwaves on the radio, & therefore not seeing in the recording who is singing it, you would every now & then be fooled by who you think the song is by, & who is singing it, vs who’s song it actually is & who’s actually singing it. There definitely were a lot of Elvis sound-alikes during those decades. Some of them only naturally sounded that way out of a coincidence, while others on the other hand were intentionally trying to mimic his sound, style & voice.
